Q: How do I redeem Groupons?

A: It's easy: click for our Redeem Form! Please note, the deadline for our Groupons is April 2012.

 

Q: How long do the tours last?

A: Our Newbury Street route is around 2 1/2 hours.

 

Q: How much do tours cost?

A: Public tours are $40 per person, and private tours are $120 per couple, or $50 per person for 3 or more people, or $40 per person for 6 or more people. Group discounts are available for 10 or more people. Note that Groupons are good for public tours only. (Redeeming Groupons? Click here!)

 

Q: Do I need to bring anything with me on the tour?

A: Most importantly, a desire to eat lots of chocolate!  We also recommend good walking shoes, weather appropriate items (umbrella, sunglasses, etc.), and a bottle of water. You can also purchase water along the way. Also, you may want extra funds on hand to purchase additional treats to take home, or to tip our Tourguides if you think they have done a truly excellent job!

If you are using Groupons, there is no need to print our bring your Groupon; simply register online in advance at www.bostonchocolatewalkingtours.com/redeem, and type in your Groupon numbers and other requested information, and then let us email you back to confirm your chosen public tour date and time.

 

Q: Do you tour year-round?

A: Yes! We believe that chocolate tastes good regardless of the weather, so we tour all year - in rain, snow or shine!

 

Note: We are currently in the process of revitelizing our schedule and staff. Tours will be returning in early 2012.

We also have specialty tours that we run throughout the year. We can also schedule a private tour for your corporate outing, bachelorette party, or other group, depending on availability. (Please note that Groupons and gift certificates are good for public tours only - thank you!)

 

Q: Where does each route visit?

A: Here's our current chocolate lineup on our Newbury Street route:

Q: I bought a Groupon and would like to redeem it for a tour I don't see listed on the website. Can I still use my Groupon?

A: Yes, you can still use your Groupon for any of our public tours! Please note that due to logistics the route we are currently offering is Newbury Street, which showcase some of the best chocolate Boston has to offer!

Q: I want to set up a private tour for my bachelorette party/corporate group/etc.  How do I do that?

A: Wonderful! We'd love to make your outing sweet! Please contact us at info@bostonchocolatewalkingtours.com or 617-955-2228, and let us know how many people would be in your party, and what dates and times might work for you. Private tours are $120 per couple, or $50 per person for 3 or more people, or $40 per person for 6 or more people, and group discounts are available for 10 or more people, based on availability. Q: Are your Tours T-accessible?

A: Absolutely!  We recommend using the Trip Planner on www.mbta.com to figure out the best route.  Please feel free to email or call with any questions – we are avid T-takers and are happy to pass on our subway knowledge!

 

 

Q: Where should I park?

A:  For our Newbury Street route, we recommend parking at the Copley Place Garage located at 2 Copley Place. 

 

Q: How much will parking cost?

Please Note: If you don’t want to pay city parking rates, we recommend parking at a T station (Alewife, Quincy Adams, and Riverside are all popular choices) and then taking the subway into town. Or, if touring on a Sunday, note that street parking is free on Sundays!
