Are you someone with class, style, an attractive image, and an outgoing and positive personality? Do you love chocolate and love talking with people? Can you memorize scripts and information quickly? And are you a confident and accomplished public speaker, with no stage fright?

Apply to work with the sweetest tour in town: Boston Chocolate Walking Tours! We're looking for part-time tourguides ("choc stars") on an independent contractor basis, and we tour year-round.

Get paid $40 per tour, plus tips and bonuses (and free chocolate of course!). Training provided. Additional perks: come into contact with the corporate executives, lawyers, tourism and hospitality professionals, bachelorette parties, and others who take our tours. And, be mentored by the company founder, a Harvard College / Harvard Law School grad and woman entrepreneur. Perfect for a student or professional looking for hands-on marketing and business experience in a thriving and exciting startup company, with a social entrepreneurship angle. Enjoy networking opportunities with professionals in media, tourism/hospitality, and other businesses, and enjoy marketing and social entrepreneurship from the inside, as you bring your creativity and personality to our team!

This is an upaid internship, which could be done for college or grad school credit. (And free chocolate.)

 

 

 

Work includes:

 

  • Coordinating initiatives with Room to Grow, our charity of choice.
  • Handling gift certificate donations to various charities and organizations.
  • Pitching Boston Chocolate Walking Tours to the media.
  • Marketing Chicago Chocolate Tours to bridal networks and other market segments.
  • Getting our tours listed on tourism, bridal, and other websites, and keeping our listings up-to-date.
  • Representing Boston Chocolate Walking Tours at trade shows and events.
  • Handling and logging phone calls and email inquiries from customers and others.

 

You:

  • Love chocolate.
  • Love people.
  • Have great phone and email skills.
  • Work well with a warm, fun team.
  • Are motivated and creative.
  • Have a positive attitude.
  • Are an Independent Contractor and can set your own flexible hours.
  • Will work on some projects with the company president, who is a Harvard College and Harvard Law School grad.
  • Will receive hands-on business and marketing experience, and lots of chocolate, of course.
